HOUSTON, Texas (TND) — A Texas woman was arrested for shooting her mother on Mother's Day, according to authorities. The Houston Police Department said 18-year-old Trinity Calhoun was charged with aggravated assault of a family member. Police said officers responded to a home for a reported shooting Sunday around 3:30 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 35-year-old woman with "a non-life -threatening gunshot wound to her right leg.

Altoona woman charged after man accidentally stabs himself in the neck

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — An Altoona woman is facing charges after police say a heated argument on Christmas ended with a man accidentally stabbing himself in the neck. According to a criminal complaint, Altoona police were dispatched to the 400 block of Cherry Avenue Christmas night after a man was stabbed in the neck. Police say when officers arrived on scene, they spoke with 36-year-old Holly Gordon, who provided them with several false names.

Man operating snow blower struck, killed by pickup

ALVERTON, Pa. (AP) — A man operating a snow blower was struck and killed by a pickup truck in western Pennsylvania over the weekend, authorities said. The Westmoreland County coroner’s office said the pickup failed to negotiate a left curve on an East Huntingdon Township road at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday. The truck went to the west side of the street and struck 49-year-old Brian Hyde, who was operating a snow blower, officials said.

Fourth teen arrested, charged in 15-year-old boy's shooting death

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Altoona police say a fourth teen has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy. Police say 15-year-old Devon Pfirsching was shot to death in February near Jefferson Park after a group of teens staged a robbery. According to a criminal complaint, 16-year-old Omedro Davis was arrested Sunday on charges of second degree murder and more after police allege he bought the gun that was used to kill Pfirsching.
