GREENFIELD, Ind. (CITC) — A 10-year-old Indiana boy died by suicide earlier this month after being bullied at school, his family announced this week. Sammy Teusch was a student at Greenfield-Central Community Schools, according to WTHR. The Teusch family told the outlet Sammy endured both physical and emotional bullying at school, with classmates allegedly recently beating him up on a school bus. CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Investigators say a Colorado man is facing child rape charges after sexually assaulting two girls in Centre County. According to the Bellefonte Police Department, 36-year-old Desmond Boyer faces two felony counts of raping a child, five felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, five felony counts of aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, three felony counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, two felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor and three felony counts of felony attempted rape of a child.

HOUTZDALE, Pa. (WJAC) — A southern Clearfield County correctional institution is on a limited lockdown Friday after officials said an inmate assaulted and seriously injured a corrections officer Thursday night. Department of Corrections officials said the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale will remain on limited lockdown as staff investigate the incident. Officials said the assault happened in the housing unit pod. Authorities said the corrections officer who was assaulted required emergency treatment outside the institution and is now in stable condition.

Somerset, Pa. (WJAC) — Despite the state's restrictions on indoor dining until January 4th, one diner in Somerset County has been letting customers dine-in anyway. Cars filled the parking lot of the Summit Diner in Somerset Saturday morning as customers flowed in and out of the dining room. The diner shut down the weekend after those restrictions were announced, but then made the decision to stay open for indoor dining.

Middleborough, Mass. (TND) — A 12-year-old middle school student is speaking up after he said he was sent home from school for refusing to remove a T-shirt that read: "There are only two genders." Liam Morrison, a 7th grader at John T. Nichols Jr. Middle School in Middleborough, Mass., told the Middleborough Public Schools board during an April 13 meeting that he was removed from his gym class a few weeks prior by school staff and told to take off his shirt because people were complaining that it was making them feel unsafe.
